At the Hove Food Festival in May

Is it bad that I've left this to the 6th of January? Are these things supposed to happen at the end of December? I don't know. 

2013, eh? I never quite got the hang of saying it. I've got a feeling that no year after this point will come easy to me. They just take so looooong to say. Two thousand and fourteen? It's only one more syllable that nineteen ninety nine, but it feels infinitely longer and more annoying.

But all of this is besides the point. I got to travel to some pretty amazing places last year, and for that I am incredibly grateful. So what better time than now to sum them all up, with some pretty pictures? No better time, you cry? You're right! So, in no particular order...

Jordan

This time last year, I was heading into the middle of a snowstorm in Jordan. You can see more about Aqaba, Amman, snow camels and the wonder of Petra here.

Skiing in Avoriaz

Soon after Jordan, I shot off to the resort of Avoriaz (with a brief stopover in Paris), to take to the slopes for the first time.

Santiago

I didn't exactly walk the Camino, but I did see a lot of the pilgrim's region. I also sampled a good bit of the wine (ahem)

Seychelles

The picture says it all, doesn't it? Sigh.

Siam Park in Tenerife

I was hesitant about this gigantic water park in Tenerife, but the second I shot down my first slide, I was sold.

Summer in Leitrim

It was summer! We had an actual summer!

Nashville

It's the city that stole my heart, and gave me the country music bug, as well as a LOT of good grub.
